Designcafe™は2004年の創業以来、建築・空間領域の複合的なコミュニケーションデザインを手がけてきました。2019年、創業15周年を無事迎えた直後のコロナ禍では、私たちの生活環境の変化だけでなく、グローバル化の影響や気候変動などの要因も含めVUCA（不確実性）時代の脆弱性に直面していることも目の当たりにさせられました。時代は大きく変わってきています。

そこで私たちは、デザインスタジオとしてのあるべき姿を再定義し、従来取り組んできた環境デザイン（都市空間デザイン、住環境デザイン、仮設空間デザイン）の枠組みに仮想空間（メタバース）のデザインを加え、Web3時代のソーシャルデザインを包摂。より良いプロセスを伴ったデザインと多様性を受け入れる感性で社会実装していきます。

これまで多くのクライアント、パートナーに恵まれ、様々な環境デザインを手がけてきました。脆弱なVUCA時代を生き、バーチャルテクノロジーが深化し、空間の役割が時代背景とともに変わろうとしている現代で、クリエイティブのちからを信じ、包摂的な環境と記憶を残し、美しい世界を未来に繋げていきたい。私たちの挑戦は続きます。

Designcafe™ has been involved in complex communication design in the architectural and spatial domain since its inception in 2004, and in 2019, just after successfully celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Corona Disaster witnessed not only changes in our living environment, but also the impact of globalisation, climate change and other factors such as VUCA (uncertainty), including the effects of globalisation and climate change, as well as changes in our living environment. Times are changing dramatically.

We have therefore redefined what we should be as a design studio, and added virtual space (metaverse) design to the framework of environmental design (urban space design, living environment design, temporary space design) that we have been working on, to encompass social design in the Web3 era. We will implement social design with better processes and a sensitivity that embraces diversity.

We have been blessed with many clients and have been involved in a variety of environmental design projects, and in this age of uncertainty, known as VUCA, where virtual technology is deepening and the role of space is changing with the times, we believe in the power of creativity, leave behind inclusive environments and memories, and continue to create a beautiful world for the future. We want to leave behind an inclusive environment and memory, and to connect the beautiful world to the future. Our challenge continues.

環境領域のデザインストラテジストでデザイナーである平澤太が2009年に東京・日本橋で、前身の「平澤太デザイン計画機構」からより広域のデザインワークを行うチームとして組織化したエンバイロメンタル・デザインスタジオ。

主にブランドメッセージを発信する空間デザイン（商空間、店舗、ショールーム、展示会、仮設空間）とコミュニケーションを醸成する環境デザイン（ワークプレイス、レジデンス、街区）を軸に、クロスオーバーな領域を一元化する環境デザインを展開。暗黙知などの体感によって得られる、より深度の高いインタラクティビティを追求するデザインスタジオです。

近年では、SDGsやSociety5.0など社会が抱える課題に対してのアプローチと連携したデザイン、ソーシャルグッド、エシカルマインドに呼応したデザイン開発、またWeb3時代を見据えたメタバース（仮想空間）における環境デザインの展開を従来の業務と同じ比率で取り組んでいます。

In 2009, this environmental design studio was established in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, by Futoshi Hirasawa, a Design Strategists / designer in the environmental field. It was institutionalized as a team to conduct broader design work than its predecessor, the “HIRASAWA FUTOSHI DESIGN” (established in 2004). It develops environmental designs that unify crossover areas, with special interests in the spatial designs that transmit brand messages (commercial spaces, shops, showrooms, exhibitions, and temporal spaces), and the environmental designs that foster communication (work places, residences, and city blocks). The design studio pursues deeper interactivities that are obtained through experiencing implicit knowledge.

In recent years, we have been working on design in conjunction with approaches to issues facing society such as the SDGs and Society 5.0, design development in response to the social good and ethical mindset, and the development of environmental design in the metaverse (virtual space) with a view to the Web3 era, in the same proportion as our traditional work. We are working on the same ratio as conventional work.
